ABOUT ME
A VERSATILE PERFORMER AND ARTIST
Irsyad Dawood is a freelance theatre-maker. His recent acting credits include Murder at Mandai Camp (2020), Pandan (M1 Fringe Festival 2021) and _T0701_ (SIFA 2021). After graduating from School of the Arts, Singapore, he made his debut as a director and playwright at the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2018, where he presented his verbatim play Does This Work For You?, discussing workplace discrimination in Singapore. Apart from theatre-making and performance, Irsyad makes up ¼ of the design collective NAYA, which has been working in collaboration with The Artground for the past year.
In the coming years, Irsyad hopes to spark crucial and urgent conversations through his art and support others who do the same.
